“The environment here is very liberal, which is one of the main reasons behind our success. The camaraderie in the team is really good”
Purple cap holder and firm favorite to win it, Kagiso Rabada spoke to the press ahead of our day clash on Saturday against Kolkata Knight Riders. The South African international also mentioned that bowling according to the conditions and sticking to his strengths is the main reason for his success this Dream11 IPL.
Despite a century from Shikhar Dhawan in the last game, DC fell short. Whilst there weren’t too many positives to take home for KKR from their last outing. With both teams sitting in the top half of the table, they will hope for nothing but a ‘Q’ besides their name.
Abu Dhabi nemesis
The Capitals aim to get third time lucky as the boys in blue have not won a single game here this season. KKR have won 4 out of their 7 games they played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium but what’s more relevant is that they failed to pick up points in 2 of their last 3 games and their only win came in the Super Over. Abu Dhabi offers more bounce and pace and provides an even contest between bat and ball. Eoin Morgan’s men have added life to their attack with the inclusion of Lockie Ferguson but Shreyas Iyer’s men hold the cards in the bowling department.
Stat Attack
- If Ajinkya Rahane takes the field it would be his 200th T20 match
- Rishabh Pant needs 1 six to complete 100 sixes in the IPL and would be the first DC batsmen to do so.
- Pant also needs 74 runs to complete 2000 runs in the IPL
- Harshal’s wait for 100 T20 wickets continues. He needs 2 more wickets to achieve it.

Key Battles
Rabada vs Morgan
The newly appointed KKR skipper almost took the game away from us in the reverse fixture and could possibly do it again with an underperforming batting line-up. Our strike bowler should try and get the better of him before he settles down.
Dhawan vs Ferguson
Shikhar is striking the ball better than he has ever done before in the IPL. Morgan will hope his in-form bowler strikes early and applies the pressure to test the rest of DCs batting.
Will DC do a double over KKR or will the latter find a way to stop the away side?
