DC Academy Specialist Summer Camp For Pacers

Date of the Camp – 29th April 2022, 30th April 2022, and 1st May 2022

 

Venue of the Camp – Bal Bhavan International School, Dwarka

 

Timing of the Camp – Session 1, Morning – 7AM – 11AM 16 – 19 age group

                                Session 2, Evening – 3PM – 7PM 19+ age group

 

CoachesMr. Subroto Banerjee, High Performance Coach in Sydney, Australia since 2021. He has been a member of the 1992 World Cup squad and has also represented India at the U-19 World Cup. He has been regularly working with upcoming fast bowlers to elevate their careers while many players have gone up to represent India, India U-19 and India A under his guidance and coaching.

 

Mr. Saba Karim, Head of the Talent Search Wing at Delhi Capitals. He has been a former international player and represented India from 1997 – 2000 where he played 1 Test and 34 ODI’s. He has served as a former General Manager of Game Development at BCCI and been a former National Selector.

 

Mr. Narender Kumar, Head Coach of DC Amigos Cricket Academy. He has played in the Ranji Trophy from 2006 – 2008, Vijay Hazare cup from 2005 – 2014 while also represented his side in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He has played over 60+ matches across all formats and has served as a Coach in the Navy for 5 years while being accredited as a Level A coach.

 

Purpose of the Camp – The purpose of the camp is to make the players learn the different dynamics of Pace Bowling while giving them insights into the areas which are critical for Pace Bowling like -

  1. Exercises to increase your pace
  2. The right muscles involved in Pace Bowling
  3. How to effectively use your muscles for Pace Bowling
  4. Tactics used to improve the run up
  5. Art behind swing bowling
  6. How to control the Pace of the ball

 

Also, the Shortlisted candidates will be given a chance to be part of the DC Development Squad and train under the best coaches.

 

Age Group – 16+ and 19+

 

Eligibility criteria – All the players born between 01/09/2002 – 01/09/2005 for 16 – 19age group and for 19+ all the players born before 01/09/2002

 

Number of entries – 80 players on a First come First serve basis out of which 50 players from Outside and 30 from our Academies.

 

Last entry date – 24th April 2022 by 7PM

 

Entry Fees – Rs. 6,000 plus 18%GST for Outsiders

                       Rs. 4,000 plus 18%GST for Academy kids
