After a stellar 60-run win against RCB in our season opener, we gear up to meet the UP Warriorz in our upcoming fixture.
We started off with a bang, with our openers putting up an unbeaten 162-run stand to lay the foundation for the fireworks to follow.
Jemi showed us why she is rated as one of the top T20 stars with a sparkling innings.
Kapp was at her menacing best finishing off the innings in grand style.
But Tara Norris proved to be our trump card by scalping the first-ever 5-fer of the WPL to ensure a big victory

Both teams have enjoyed a winning start to the season but that’s bound to change tomorrow. The Alyssa Healey-led UP Warriorz fought back brilliantly against Gujarat to register their first win of the WPL.
Our skipper had only good vibes to send our way after our victory against RCB

Wherever Tara goes, history is bound to follow. The only associate nation player in the #WPL and the first player to scalp a 5-fer who knows what she has up her sleeve in our upcoming match.
- Our destructive batting force
Setting up the 2nd highest total in women's T20 cricket, our batters showed why we might have one of the most destructive batting line-ups in the tournament. It may be too early but we have set the bar pretty high with an almost flawless performance last time out.
- Alice Capsey
Hamari Alice kaise ho, Alice Capsey jaisi ho.
If you don’t let her bat, she will perform with the ball, that’s how our Alice is. Scalping both RCB openers in the span of 2 overs to pull the game in our favour, she was one of the keys to our success. Having said that we won’t be mad if she plays a blinder when we need her with the bat.

Meg Lanning vs Sophie Ecclestone
Meg Lanning’s destructive batting against Sophie Ecclestone’s wily spin bowling will be a treat to watch as they both started their WPL journey on a high.
Our skipper has averaged 38 against Ecclestone in T20Is since 2018 while being dismissed just twice in that span. A make-or-break encounter that is bound to shape the match we hope our skipper to continue her form in the WPL and against Ecclestone.
Shafali Verma vs Deepti Sharma
Shafali’s power-hitting against India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is will be a contest to behold. With Lanning by her side, Shafali has a mentor in the middle who can help her shape her innings which makes her a dangerous prospect
Deepti Sharma on the other hand has played around the world and would be a tough nut to crack.
Will Shafali try to upset Deepti Sharma’s rhythm by trying to hit her out of the park or play it safe? It’s a chess match and it’s going to be entertaining.
Marizanne Kapp vs Alyssa Healy
Opening the bowling for us from one end, Kapp is definitely going to face off against Healey if Shikha Pandey doesn't get her first. The last time when they came face to face, Kapp accounted for Healy in the T20 World Cup 2023.
Our Protean pacer would be looking forward to a repeat when she meets the UP Warriorz’s skipper again.
