Delhi Capitals Begin IPL 2020 Campaign Against Kings XI Punjab

Since the turn of the year, our beloved DC fans have been eager to find out our schedule for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. That wait finally comes to an end!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the fixtures list for IPL 2020 on Tuesday, with the tournament set to run between March 29 and May 24.

We begin our campaign against Kings XI Punjab at Arun Jaitley Stadium on the second day of the tournament. We then travel to the iconic Eden Gardens to take on Kolkata Knight Riders the same week on Friday.

Rajasthan Royals is our opponent for our third league match two days later but are yet to receive clarity on whether we will be taking on Steve Smith’s men at their home ground in Jaipur or their second home venue for this season, Guwahati.

We return home post the clash against the Royals to host a refreshed Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 10 at Qila Kotla, followed by MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings three days later.

KKR then come visiting on April 19 – the first of our two afternoon fixtures this season.

We go on the road for our next three games – against RCB on April 22, Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 26 and cap off the Deccan tour against Mumbai Indians on Labour Day.

Just a day after returning home, we go up against SRH on Sunday and welcome the defending champions in the midweek clash on May 6.

Post that, a long trip down south to MA Chidambaram Stadium awaits our boys for the second afternoon clash against the three-time IPL champions.

Our final home fixture is against Rajasthan Royals on May 13. And just as we started our IPL 2020 campaign, we close it with the Northern Derby against KXIP at the PCA Stadium in an evening clash on May 16.
