In an official announcement, Sunil Subramaniam, shared that Shikhar Dhawan has a fracture on the base of his first metacarpal on his left hand.

The Indian Team Manager further stated, "Following several specialist opinions, he will remain in cast until mid-July...which rules him out of ICC World Cup 2019."
