Auqib’s 2025-26 season was nothing short of a work of art. He not only won J&K their first Ranji Trophy but also finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 60 wickets and as the Player of the Series. Auqib showed he has what it takes on the big stage. He delivered match-winning spells against Karnataka in the final taking 5 wickets for 54 runs and against Madhya Pradesh in the Quarter Final, ending the game with match figures of 12/110, his career best.
He also showed his all-round ability in the Vijay Hazare. Auqib smashed a breathtaking 114 off 82 balls* against Hyderabad in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Coming in at No. 8 with the team reeling at 90/7, he orchestrated a world-record 182-run partnership to pull off an impossible win.
