Twitter Reacts to DC’s win over MI at Wankhede!

We could not have asked for a better start to the IPL. Wankhede stadium witnessed a magnificent team effort from our boys against MI in our opening game!

The crowd was spellbound by some outrageous batting on display from Rishabh Pant. The young wicketkeeper-batsman scored 78 runs from 27 deliveries to win the Man of the Match award. Our own 'Gabbar' and Colin Ingram batted beautifully as well and contributed 43 and 47 runs, respectively, to the scorecard. We ended with a handsome 213/6 in 20 overs. A mind-boggling 99 runs were scored in the final 6 overs thanks to the onslaught by Rishabh!

Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada finished the job as they clinched two wickets apiece. Trent Boult, Rahul Tewatia, Keemo Paul, and Axar Patel also made 1 scalp each and provided key breakthroughs at regular intervals. Yuvraj Singh kept MI's hopes alive but we always had the upper hand. The Rohit Sharma-led team were eventually bowled out for 176 and we won the match in convincing fashion - by 37 runs.

Here are the best Twitter Reactions from the memorable win last night:

We will be clashing with Chennai Super Kings next. It is our first match home match at Qila Kotla we can’t wait to be there to see our fans cheer for #NayiDilli tomorrow!
